This cute story was written by the famous actress Jamie Lee Curtis, The
basics of the story is a little girl is reminiscing of her youth. She tells
how she “cried a lot” when she was little, “but now she uses words.”
When she was little her mom said she was a handful, now she’s helpful. The
young girl compares and contrasts her life now to when she was “little”.
She uses her baby sister as an example. This lovely story ends with the
lines:
“When I was little, I didn’t know what a family was.
When I was little, I didn’t know what dreams were.
When I was little, I didn’t know who I was.
Now I do!”
This story
may spark your youngsters curiosity about when they were little. Be prepare
for questions.
Laura
Cornell’s illustrations for this story cover the 3 B’s, beautiful, busy,
and bright. Your will love looking through the illustrations. They look to
have been beautifully created with watercolor and Ink.
I
highly recommend this story for preschool children 2 ½ and up.
