What a wonderful story
For you and me.
This is a delightful story about the alphabet. The story has a catchy
rhythmic pattern. Before long your children will be reciting the story back
to you.
Ever wonder what the alphabet is doing when they are not making words?
The premise of this story is the lower case letters all come out to play.
They climb a coconut tree. As the letters climb, the tree sags, and sags, and
sags some more until CHICKA CHICKA BOOM BOOM! Down they go. The uppercase
momma’s and papa’s come to the rescue. They fix up skinned knees and
stubbed toes. As with any children, they did not learn their lesson the
first time. "as the sun sets and the full moon shines, lower case a is
out of bed. Dare double dare, you can’t catch me. I’ll beat you to the
top of the coconut tree."
This books is beautifully illustrated. The pictures are simple and
bright. A joy for any child to look at. I recommend this book for preschool
children ages
2 - 6.
