The
Christmas Star
By
Marcus Pfister

Watch as we see The Christmas Star guide us to
Bethlehem to see the Holy Child. Marcus Pfister brings us all to the
manger where Jesus lay, along with the shepards, kings and forest
animals. This all happens with the help of the beautiful, magical,
shining holograms that captivated our children in Pfisters previous
books such as Rainbow Fish.
Children
ages 2-7 love to see and touch the glimmering foil stamped stars on each
page, as the Christmas story is retold. Pfister retells this story of
how " people longed for a time of harmony among nations." What
better time to read this tale than now-and for children to understand
how a child could show us "the way to peace". Pfister includes
the animals in the retelling of the birth of Christ, and how they were
drawn by the light of The Christmas Star to Bethlehem.
Children
can relate to the pictures of the lion laying down among the sheep, and
the fox with the hare. Such gentle, soft pictures make you feel safe and
calm-what a wonderful break from all the holiday madness to sit and read
The Christmas Star with your child. Certainly one they will look forward
to reading year, after year.
