Love Me, Love You

By Susan Heyboer O’Keefe

Illustrated by Robin Spowast
Published By Boyds Mills Press

Review by: Yvonne Gaudet

“Love me, love you. Love us both, I do, I do!” This story, written by Susan Heyboer O’Keefe, is about a little bunny and his mother as they spend time together, loving each other throughout their daily activities. “Love me, love my nose. I can touch it with my toes.” The funny antics of this bunny duo will put a smile on your little one’s face as you share this cute tale with them. Lovingly illustrated in soft pastel colors by Robin Spowart, this book is sure to become a favorite of many children for years to come.
Beautifully written, the rhythmic text is simple and perfect for all beginner readers. Suitable for a ‘bedtime story’ or as a ‘snuggle on the couch story’, this tale is perfect for unwinding and settling down at the end of a busy day. Watch as your child learns to read this book by themselves, and as they enjoy reading it to others. I recommend this book for ages 2-6 years of age.  However, younger children are sure to enjoy having it read to them as well. Nothing will ever come between a mother’s love for her child, and a child’s love for his or her mother. Although children sometimes make messes, this book enforces the truth that no matter what happens, our loved ones will always care for us and love us through the good and bad times. I really enjoyed this one. Absolutely cute and extremely well put together!
