The
perfect bedtime book for little eyes that just can’t close, and for the
little bodies who are not yet ready to go to dream land. “Polar Bolero A
bedtime Dance” is about one of these little ones who just can’t sleep.
After this little bear is tucked into bed, he decides he is too hot and so
he slowly sneaks out of bed and out the door to the place where the
wide-awake meet. This is the place where the Polar Bolero is performed,
the bedtime dance. “There’s music and laughter drifting up from the
trees as we Polar Bolero with the owls and bees.” The little creatures
dance around until they start to yawn and feel sleepy, then they return
home to where their loved ones await them, with night-night hugs, and soft
soothing whispers of ‘sleep tight’. Beautifully written with gently
rhyming verses, Debi Gliori gives us this wonderful,
cuddle-under-the-blankets book, which will be shared
many times over. The illustrations,
also done by Debi Gliori, are done in watercolor and are bright and
pleasing to the eye. A great compliment to the story line and sure to
captivate the attention of the younger age groups. Full of fun, I
recommend this book for ages 0-6, early and beginning readers will be
amazed with their accomplishments when they read this book to mommy and
daddy. Truly a great addition to any bookshelf, ‘Polar Bolero A Bedtime
Dance’ will lull your little ones off to dream land.
