The Handmade Alphabet
By Laura Rankin

Review by: Ellen Dragonetti

A beautifully illustrated version of manual signing from the American Sign Language will not only teach the hand signs for each letter of the alphabet, but is a feast for the senses as well.
Laura Rankin's exquisite art work, shows the hand in each of the 26 positions with an object of the same letter to serve as a visual clue. Her close up pictures are beautiful enough to frame, yet easy enough to emulate-making it a wonderful tool to use to teach signing. Your child ages 3-10 will enjoy perfecting each letter while increasing his or her fine motor skills, and will delight in learning a new language.
A lot of love and hard work went into the making of The Handmade Alphabet, share it with your children, hearing or deaf they will love it.
