Nuts to You!
By Lois Ehlert

Review by: Jacqueline Kilmer

What would you do if a squirrel snuck into your room? That is the premise behind the story, “Nuts to You!” It is the cute, rhythmic tale of a curious squirrel that investigates the tear in a screened window.  This squirrel has spunk!
Lois Ehlert uses the collage technique to enhance this squirrel story.  The textures are so realistic.  And the artwork is adorable.
I recommend this “squirrel-y” story for all ages, but particularly for the 3-7 year old.  The text is easy to read.  There is information about squirrels on the last few pages too. And children with their wonderful imaginations could make up their own adventures for a squirrel that appeared in their window!
