Hang a sheet in the circle time area and shine a light behind it. Give children hats, paper tubes, and other props and encourage children to experiment creating shadows. Two or more children can join together to create a monster with several legs and arms.

Two children face each other. One child is picked to begin the mirror
exercise.
This child slowly moves his/her body in motions depicting monster movements. The other child "mirrors the exact same motions at the same time.

ONLY!!! (With a ice pick, punch a hole in opposite sides of a l6 oz. can.
Thread a rope that is 60" long through the holes and tie the ends of the rope together to
make a handle. Repeat with the second can.) Stand with one foot on top of each can.
Pull rope handles taut and attempt to walk on cans making as much noise as
possible.
