Snowman added

Need: 2 white garbage bags, newspaper,
hat, gloves, scarf, construction paper, glue
This is especially exciting if there is no snow around. Tell the children
you are going to make a snowman for the classroom. Have the children wad
newspaper to fill the two garbage bags. Tie or tape the bags together. Ask
the children to find clothing in the dress up area to dress the snowman.
The children can add features to the snowman using glue and construction
paper.

Used shredded paper as snow. Every year the children love
"playing in the snow." We put on hats, gloves, scarves, etc.
It's a great language learning experience. The best part is you don't have
to get wet and cold to learn about snow, winter clothing, body parts and
it's an easy clean up.
