Teach kids the Mexican Hat Dance.

Hat Bean Bag Toss added 1-18-01 Original Author Unknown

Lay several large hats on the floor.  Encourage the children to stand about two feet from the hats and try to throw the beanbags into the hats.

Hat Game  added 1-18-01 Original Author Unknown

Sit the children in a circle; one child has a hat on their head.
Chant:    (Mary's) wearing a hat.
What do you think of that?
Take it off, and pass it to (Johnny).
(This encourages sharing, because nobody ever wants to pass the hat, but learn to realize that nobody wants to pass it to the child that won't give it up!)

Hats On A Fence added 1-18-01 Original Author Unknown

Need: some old hats,3 or more beanbags, board (2x4 about 5' long)

Place the board between two tables and place the hat on the board. Mark a line on the floor for the children to stand on while trying to knock off the hats with the beanbags.
