Games & Outdoors : Shapes

Shape Game added 2-2-02 Original Author Unknown

Cut several circles, triangles, and squares. Put each one in an envelope. Have enough for each child. Place the letters in a mail sack. Have the children sit in a circle. Ask one child to be the letter carrier. He walks around the outside of the circle with his mail sack. While he's walking, the children say the SHAPE CHANT. When the children say, "me" the letter carrier stops and delivers a letter to the child he's standing next to. The child opens it up and tells everyone what shape he received. Continue to everyone has a turn.
