Purchase a collection of Barbie
and Ken doll type small shoes. And set the collection in a basket along side
of one or two mini-muffin tins. Let children classify each pair of shoes
into their own muffin cup.

Have the children trace their shoe and
use it to measure things around the room then write how many steps it
took.

Enlarge a shoe pattern onto construction paper. Continue enlarging the
pattern until you have several patterns of assorted sizes. Cut out the
patterns and number the backs of the cutouts to indicate their sequential
order. (Number one would be the smallest cutout.) Students arrange the
cutouts in order from the smallest cutout to the largest, and then turn them
over to check their work.
