Math : Holidays > St. Patrick's Day

File folder game added 2-25-99 Original Author Unknown

Cut 10 black pot shapes and glue into a folder. Number pots from 1-10 using a gold paint pen. Gather 55 small pebbles and spray paint them gold. Have children place appropriate number of pieces of gold on each black pot.

Leprechaun Bingo added 3-7-99 Original Author Unknown

Make blank bingo cards divided into 6 sections. Draw one St. Patrick's Day symbol in each section. (shamrocks, gold coins, Leprechaun, top hat, rainbow and pot of gold) *HINT, you can probably find nice clip art of these on the net, just print them out and glue! Write all the symbols you have drawn on a separate tally sheet. To play, pass out pennies for markers. As you call out a symbol (and show a picture of it to younger children) the players will place a penny on the symbol if they have it. Let children keep their pennies. You may wish to use green jelly beans instead!
