Sesame Street: Platinum Too

Review by: Yvonne Gaudet

Another enjoyable CD from the Children’s Television Workshop (CTW), Platinum Too is a collection of our favorite Sesame Street songs, sung by the well-known characters from the famous preschool television program. Familiar worldwide in 148 different countries, the Sesame Street gang are enjoyed by young and old alike. This CD contains 20 songs such as “The Word is No”, “Caribbean Amphibian”’ “What’s The Name Of That song”,” Believe In Yourself” and “Imagination”. Sing along with the enclosed lyrics, or dance the day away with Elmo, Bert, Ernie and all of Jim Henson’s Muppet characters.

Beautifully put together, This CD is a perfect mix of slow and fast songs for your children to enjoy. My personal favorite is the closing song, “One Small Voice”, which is sung by The Kids, Hoots the Owl, and Prairie Dawn. This song reminds us that one small voice can teach and reach the world. If you have a dream, live it, if you have a goal, do everything in your power to achieve it, and don’t be afraid. The Muppet characters have been around since 1969, and have helped nurture, raise and teach millions of children worldwide. Why not buy your child this large amazing collection of songs that even you are familiar with. All profits from the sale of this CD and other CTW licensed products are put right back into future educational programs and projects for children between the ages of 0 to 12 years of age.
