Buck Howdy: Skidaddle!

Review by: Yvonne Gaudet

Skidaddle, the cute country music CD by Buck Howdy, has made its way into our home daycare center and into our hearts at a time when summer boredom was taking its toll. The music on this CD is quiet and enjoyable for all ages. “Ain’t No Bugs”, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”, “Hole in the Bottom of the Sea”, and “Alley –Oop”, are a few of the thirteen songs that make up this children’s country compact disc.
Soft music, and Buck Howdy’s gentle singing voice make this an easy listening CD that is perfect to share with children of all ages and adults as well. Our favorite song is “One Day Soon” which we play as a closing song at the end of our busy days in daycare. It is the perfect song to close off the music collection o
n the CD. So quiet and calming, you can almost see the bright stars in the night sky when listening to it!
Great for listening to in the car and around the campfire, I found this recording to be pleasurable, and very wo
rthwhile to purchase. For under $15.00 it is a great bargain! My daycare children, ranging in age from 6 months to eleven years, are thrilled with Buck Howdy’s music. We have had a great deal of fun with this album and with the accompanying web site address. What a terrific idea to have a website, accompanying the music, where children can do puzzles, mazes, and print off coloring pages. On the web site you can even email Buck Howdy himself, and he will email you back! I find it amazing that this country singer, born and raised on a Black Angus cattle farm in the United States, makes time to answer his emails from his fans. Not often do you come across someone who remembers the little people!
A lot of time has been taken to make this album appealing to young children and to the young at heart! Perfect for sharing with Gram and Gramps, your little Buckaroo will love this addition to your music library!
Why not get your copy toda
y, so your little cowboy and cowgirl can pull up their stagecoach, or their horse, and join in the campfire fun! Don’t forget the can of baked beans!
