Ellen Dragonetti About the author:
Ellen Dragonetti has lived in Wisconsin in the beautiful Lake Geneva area with her husband of 27 years and 3 children ages 24, 21, and ( oops ) 7 for 18 years. She earned her A.A. degree in Early Childhood in California where she grew up. She has taught preschool for 13 years, 11 of which were spent as lead teacher in a parent cooperative preschool setting. She has been an active member of the recreation committee in her town for 15 years, a former girl scout and brownie leader, and tutored at risk children in a truancy prevention program.
Ellen also worked as a library assistant in a public school system where her love for books and storytelling really turned her into a children's " book-nut ". Ellen's grandfather was a seasoned storyteller and she feels she got her inspiration from his gifted ability to tell stories. She also loves rummaging at thrift stores and garage sales for great deals on books for her huge library of
children's books, as well as for her family and friends. Ellen feels books are the appropriate gift for just about anyone and just about any occasion, and her 7 year old son is already writing and illustrating his own stories. Hardly a day goes by that her family is not reading, writing, and/or drawing-one inspires the other.
