bring sleeping bags and sleep in them at nap
time, we make sure they bring picnic type lunches We
clear away all the tables bring lots of bean bags, big pillows sleeping
bags, we all borrow lots of stuffed animals from our
kids we put out board games, floor puzzles ,
dress up dolls, dress up clothes , lots of cars, on
a rug that has roads and stuff on it , puppets , flannel board stuff and
one year we taped a long piece of paper on the wall and
let the kids draw on the (paper) wall, this was
great the kids loved it. If you remind the kids this
is a quiet day its the best, lots of cuddling up with the kids we had a

Make hats out of film
canisters, colored tape and felt circles. Put the colored tape
around the film canisters for the stripes. You have to cut a hole in
the center of the felt (to make a doughnut). This is the brim ( it
goes over the film canister).
