Popcorn added 4-29-98 Original Author Unknown

Popcorn
Pop, pop, pop
Says the popcorn in the pan.
Pop, pop, pop,
You may catch me if you can.

Pop, pop, pop
Says each kernel bright and yellow.
Pop, pop, pop
They are clever little fellows.

Pop, pop, pop
As they scamper 'cross the heat.
Pop, pop, pop
They are very good to eat.

Pop, pop, pop
Pop, pop, pop

POP added 4-29-98 Original Author Unknown

You put the oil in the pot and you let it get hot
You put the popcorn in and you start to grin.
Sizzle, sizzle
Sizzle, sizzle
Sizzle, sizzle
Sizzle, sizzle
Sizzle, sizzle
Sizzle, sizzle
POP!
We start the poem in a crouched position, knees bent, hands on the floor. When
we start to "sizzle" we s-l-o-w-l-y rise until the final POP! when we jump up
in the air.

Pointy Fingers added 7-18-98 Original Author Unknown

Two pointy fingers I can show
(Hold up both index fingers.)
Way up high or way down low.
(Hold index fingers high & low.)
With my right, I point to my toe.
(Right index toward toe.)
With my left, I show where to go.
(Point to left.)
Two pointy fingers I can show
(Hold up both index fingers.)
To show you things that I know!
(Point straight ahead, then to head.)

Pairs added 7-18-98 Original Author Unknown

Two things make a pair.
(Hold up two fingers.)
And on me, Iíll show you where.
(Point to self.)
I have two ears, and I have two eyes.
(Point to ear and eyes.)
Both are important to make me wise!
I have two holes in my nose.
(Point to nose.)
That lets me smell a beautiful rose.
(Pretend to smell a rose.)
I have two hands that clap a beat.
(Clap hands to underlined words.)
I have two feet that are really neat!
(Jump when saying the word neat!)

Nickel For A Pickle added 5-12-02 Original Author Unknown

If I only had a nickel
I would buy myself a pickle.
And I'd put it in the middle of a sandwich
with some butter and baloney
And I'd eat it if I only
had a nickel for a pickle
But I don't.

Now every time anyone in our class has a pickle for lunch
we have to recite the poem!

Popcorn In A Pot added 7-19-02 Original Author Unknown

Sung: "I'm a Little Tea Pot"

I'm a little popcorn in a pot,
Heat me up and watch me pop.
When I get all fat and white, I am done,
Popping corn is lots of fun.

POP!  added 7-19-02 Original Author Unknown

Pop!  Pop!  Pop!
Pour the corn into the Pot.
Pop!  Pop!  Pop!
Take and shake it 'til it's hot.
Pop!  Pop!  Pop!
Lift the lid, what have we got?
Pop!  Pop!  Pop..........POPCORN!!
